3 DAYS MAASAI MARA

Enjoy a thrilling 3 days Masai Mara Safari tour starting and ending in Nairobi and using quality mid range safari lodges or tented camps, typically located inside or close to the main Maasai Mara National reserve. This 2 night, 3 day tour includes road transport from Nairobi with upto four private Safari game drives inside the reserve. The trip may also include extra options such as a visit to a Maasai village. Full day game drives can be had at no extra charge for the second day of the itinerary in Masai Mara.

The typical Safari Itinerary is listed below. Note that prices vary depending on the month or season of travel, with July to October being peak season while April to mid June is low season.

Day 1 Nairobi - Maasai Mara

Your Driver-Guide reports to your hotel for start of the safari to Masai Mara with a 7.30am to 8am departure for a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Maasai Mara, Kenya's famous game reserve.

( Drive time 5.5 hours). You will be in a private safari vehicle. Stop for some time at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint on the way, to enjoy the amazing views of the largest Valley in the world, said to be visible from outer space.

Arrive at Masai Mara for lunch at your lodge or camp. The afternoon game drive at 3.30pm allows spotting of the magnificent wildlife in the park ranging from the Big Cats such as Lion, Leopard & Cheetah to Rhino, Elephant and Wildebeest. Return to your lodge by 6.30pm

Day 2 Full day Game drive

You will be taken on two safari game drives today, one in the morning from 6.15am to 9am, followed by breakfast and the other in the late afternoon after lunch from 3.30pm to 6.30pm.

The wildlife is usually more active during these times of the day. As your Masai Mara safari is private, your gamedrive timings will be flexible, useful if you are travelling with children, or are on a honeymoon, you may also choose to have a full day game drive [ one for the whole day] with a packed picnic lunch at no extra cost. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3 Check out

After a relaxed breakfast and check out by 8.30am, depart for return road transfer back to Nairobi. (as per the latest park rules, all visitors are expected to exit the park before 10am). Expected time of arrival in Nairobi early afternoon (typically by 2.30pm). Drop off at your hotel or free onward transfer to the airport for your flight home.

5 DAYS MT KENYA ITINERARY

This is a 5 Days Kenya Safari to Aberdare National Park, Thompson Falls Nyahururu, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara National Reserve. This Africa style Safari will expose you to the beautiful National resources of Kenya including Water falls, Lakes and the African wild including the big five of Africa.

This Kenya Safari Package include transport in a customized safari Cruiser/Van or Overland truck with a professional driver guide, all entrance park fees, Accommodation on Full Board, game drives and drinking bottled water.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Aberdare National Park and Thompson Falls Nyahururu.

The safari starts with pick-up from your hotel / airport in Nairobi and drive to Aberdare National Park. You will start off with a game drive in the park.

Aberdare National Park is renowned for its torrential waterfalls plunging from cloud-shrouded heights to spray-filled ravines. The Karuru Waterfalls, Gura Waterfalls, Chania Waterfalls and Magura Waterfalls offer an amazing waterfall safari experience.

Aberdare also has unique attractions like the dragon teeth, which is a volcanic, rock formation assuming the rugged look of a set of teeth sitting on a jaw. Game animals easily seen in the park during game drives include; African Elephant, black rhino, leopard, spotted hyena, olive baboon, black and white colobus monkey, sykes monkey, cape buffalo, warthog, common zebra (North Aberdare), bushbuck, reedbuck. Rare sightings include those of Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat, blue duiker.

You will have lunch at the Ark Lodge before proceeding for an afternoon game drive as you check out of the park.

Day 2: Nyahururu to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast take your drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at Lake Nakuru and take a game viewing drive en-route to a Lodge for check-in and Lunch. After lunch take your rest at the lodge before embarking on an afternoon game drive.

Lake Nakuru Natioanal park supports a wide ecological diversity including Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds. Also found in the park include the Rothschild giraffe, black rhino, white rhino, lions, buffalo, impala and huge variety of other types of animals. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site which is part of Kenya Lake System.

Drive back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at Lodge.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, enjoy your last game drive checking out of Lake Nakuru National park and start your drive to Maasai Mara. Drive into the park with a game drive en-route to Lodge
The Mara Game Reserve —one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park’s are: Maasai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousands of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson’s and Grants Gazelles.

You will check-in and have lunch before having an afternoon rest. You will embark on an evening game drive till sunset where you drive back to your hotel for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Lodge

Day 4: Enjoy Full Day in Maasai Mara

The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues the whole of this day. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. Our driver guide will drive you in the park to experience first game viewing. During our stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Maasai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. You will also enjoy the wildebeest migration experience at the Mara River. These phenomena only happen between the months of July to October.

Day 5: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast take a last game drive in Maasai Mara as you check-out of the park. Drive to Nairobi and stop over at the Rift Valley viewing point. Our driver will drop you at your hotel or at the airport for your on-ward flight
